TOS Varnsdorf is an engineering firm that has been offering a wide range of drilling machines to a variety of clients, including multinational clients. TOS Varnsdorf was started in the year 1901, at which time it was known as Arno Plauert Machine Works. The company's client base was in Czech Republic, but owing to its innovative designs, production and sale of high- performance machines and aggressive marketing and design, the company grew quickly and opened subsidiaries in other markets such as Germany and Russia. In 1996, TOS earned the ISO 9001 certificate. Over time, the company has recorded remarkable growth, expanding its markets to become a global firm, and growing its workforce tremendously. Today, the company has a global presence with operations in Germany, Russia, Finland and Poland. TOS is also venturing into the expansive Chinese market among other nations where sales are increasing.

TOS offers a wide range of drilling machines and services. These include horizontal milling and drilling machines, floor type horizontal milling machine, machining centres such as Optima and Prima, portal machining centres such as FVC CNC, special machines such as SPEEDtec, and an array of other machine accessories. The services that the firm offers to its clients include modernization of machinery, measurements, information on such things as the most suitable technology to use with a machine, remote diagnostics, metal working , chemical and heat treatment of metals, and overhauls.

Today, TOS has over 500 employees. In 2011, the firm opened a subsidiary in India as part of its expansion strategy. TOS sales network extends to over 50 countries across the globe. The company partners with leading European suppliers such as SIEMENS, SKF, HEIDENHAIN and KSK Kurim.
